What is a counsellor?

A counsellor is a trained therapist who is with you throughout times of distress, when life feels out of control, where your everyday is filled with pain and confusion, which affects your happiness, wellbeing and everyday living.

What is counselling?

Counselling is a confidential space where, at your own pace, you are warmly encouraged to look at what is happening in your life and how it may be affecting you, within a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental way.

How do I know it's safe and confidential?

Deborah is a professional person with many years of experience working with people and has been well trained over many years.  She abides by the code of ethical conduct set out by the BACP and is a registered member.  You can find her at https://www.bacp.co.uk/search/Register, registration number 411317.

How long is a counselling session?

Each session is usually 50 minutes.  However, you and your counsellor can decide how long may be needed during the process.  To gain the most out of counselling, any less than 50 minutes may be ineffective.

What can I expect from a Reiki session?

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive technique which does not interfere with any of your usual beliefs, ways of living or current treatments.  Whilst you are lay down on a massage couch for it, you remain fully clothed throughout with a blanket over you for comfort.​
